Ms. Clouse represents clients in a variety of labor and employment matters. Her practice is focused in the areas of employment and business litigation. Ms. Clouse counsels and assists employees and employers through disputes arising from the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, those involving breach of contract, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, defamation, fraud, and civil conspiracy.

Prior to joining Clouse Brown, Ms. Clouse graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received a Workplace Law Certificate and was awarded the John Phillip Labor Law Award. During law school, Ms. Clouse was an active participant in the Workplace Rights Project clinical program and the Lawyering in Spanish program. She won a university-wide graduate award for her paper, Part-Time Mothers: America’s Failure to Accommodate Caregiver Responsibilities of Low-Income Mothers.

EXPERIENCE
In 2018, Ms. Clouse was part of the team assisting lead attorneys to obtain a $3.7 million jury verdict against a mega-church for failing to abide by its contractual obligations to provide two former employees with supplemental retirement benefits.

Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting employment contracts, severance and separation agreements for employees and senior executives.

Seeking and defending temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions in cases involving claims for misappropriation of trade secrets or breach of non-compete/non-solicit agreements.

Representing employees and employers during mediation.

Advising employers regarding compliance with state and federal anti-discrimination, anti- harassment, anti-retaliation, and wage and hour laws.

Representing employees in proceedings with the EEOC and TWC.

PERSONAL
Ms. Clouse was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is an animal lover who enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and baking desserts in her free time.
