John S. Morgan has been practicing law for over 30 years, developing a broad range of expertise in commercial litigation and business law, at the trial and appellate level, in state and federal court. He regularly handles commercial litigation, non-competition and trade secret litigation, contract disputes, and executive compensation issues. His practice also includes business fraud cases, corporate formation and planning, real estate litigation, and commercial construction disputes.
After graduating from Tulane in 1989, Mr. Morgan clerked for U.S. District Judge Abel John “A. J.” McNamara in the Eastern District of Louisiana. He then moved to Texas, where he practiced at Houston’s Baker Botts and ultimately established his own law practice, The Morgan Law Firm.
Mr. Morgan’s journey to the legal profession began with a deep study of and appreciation for history and political science, and he believes a robust and honest legal system is crucial for a thriving society. Mr. Morgan is passionate about contributing to that system by advocating for his clients.
