Camille Avant
Congratulations to our newest partner, Camille Avant, on her recent promotion. This recognition comes on the heels of a series of achievements, most notably her Board Certification in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization at the beginning of this year.
“She’s earned it, she deserves it, and she’s been an incredible asset to the firm and our clients,” said name partner Alyson Brown. “Her tenacity, especially during these last six months, only confirms what we’ve always known: Not only is Camille incredibly knowledgeable, she’s also a gifted, adaptable leader.”
Name partner Keith Clouse adds: “Camille has developed into a talented trial attorney. Her expertise in e-discovery and computer forensics is invaluable, and she has earned the trust and confidence of the firm’s clients.”
Ms. Avant began working with Ms. Brown and Mr. Clouse during law school, and joined the firm after her graduation from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 2013. Since then, she’s been an essential member of the firm’s litigation team, having represented clients in jury trials in breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets, wage and hour, and other employment claims. She also represents employers in proceedings before the Texas Workforce Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.
In March, Ms. Avant was named to the annual list of Super Lawyers Rising Stars, published by Thomson Reuters, and last month she was included on the inaugural list of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. Both lists identify top attorneys in various practice areas based on a peer review and research system.
