Clouse Brown partner Camille Avant has been selected to the annual Super Lawyers Rising Stars list published by Thomson Reuters for the second year in a row.
Ms. Avant defends clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, and the Texas Workforce Commission. She also counsels employers and executives in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of employment contracts, trade secrets, covenants not to compete, and wage and hour cases.
“Camille has made substantial professional strides since joining our firm at the beginning of her career,” said Clouse Brown partner Alyson Brown. “Her talent is undeniable, and our firm and clients benefit from having her on the team.”
Since earning her first appearance on the Rising Stars list last year, Ms. Avant has been named to the inaugural list of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and was promoted to partner at the firm. She also became Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization last year.
To be eligible for Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in any state are named to the Rising Stars list. Like its counterpart, Super Lawyers, the Rising Stars selection methodology is based on the same system of peer nominations and independent review.
